| Title | From almond residues to high-performance carbon cathodes: deep eutectic solvent activation for zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors. |
The presented research explores the valorization of almond agricultural residues as sustainable carbon cathodes for zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors. The study introduces deep eutectic solvent-assisted activation as an effective strategy to develop highly porous carbons with enhanced electrochemical performance. The results demonstrate the potential of combining biomass valorization with tailored activation strategies to produce high-performance electrode materials for sustainable energy storage.
Impact and dissemination
The 7th International Energy Storage Materials Conference brought together 192 delegates from 35 countries, providing an international platform for exchanging recent advances in materials and technologies for energy storage. The participation of eNargiZinc contributed to disseminating the project’s research on sustainable electrode materials and increasing its visibility within the international energy-storage community. The poster presentation also provided opportunities to discuss the results with researchers working on advanced electrode materials, electrochemical energy storage, and related technologies.
